  • Intent. The Office-Professional (PR1) District in intended to provide opportunities to locate and develop administrative and professional offices and education institutions in locations served by primary access. Uses in this district can be located in close proximity to the population that they are intended to service, or concentrated in a single area, such as a downtown or along a major transportation corridor, where location advantages are realized.

    743.1. Permitted Uses.

    (A) Accessory uses that are subordinate and incidental to any permitted use below and on-site signage in accordance to the provisions of Article 10
    (B) Administrative, business, financial, general purpose, and professional offices not otherwise listed in the ME1 or ME2 Zoning Districts
    (C) Banks/savings and loans
    (D) Churches, synagogues, temples, and other places of worship subject to the provisions of Article 12
    (E) Educational institutions including commercial trade/vocational schools and schools that provided teaching in art, music, and dance
    (F) General and specialized doctor's offices and clinics such as dentists, chiropractors, optometrists, podiatrists; except drug and alcohol treatment centers Business types defined in SIC 8011, 8021, 8031 8041, 8042, 8043, and 8049 (except uses that dispense prescription drugs on-site)
    (G) Group homes; except fraternity and sororities
    (H) Libraries
    (I) Office parks and research and development centers
    (J) Public and semi-private cemeteries subject to the provision of Article 12
