§ 6-1. Building inspection department created.

The building inspection department of the county is hereby created and its purpose shall be to promote the health and safety of the citizens of the county who reside outside of the corporate limits of any municipality in the county by developing and executing plans and programs relating to any phase of flood prevention, the control of soil erosion, and the enforcement, through permits or otherwise, of the requirements of building codes or other regulations adopted by the county council.
