§ 6-47. Powers and duties.

The responsibility of the board shall be the following:
(1)

To hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions or determinations made by the building official relative to the application and interpretation of the building code subject to the limitation on authority contained within the code; and

(2)

To hear and decide requests for appeals and variances pursuant to Chapter 9 of the Horry County Code of Ordinances pertaining to Flood Damage Prevention and Control.
