  • Intent. The Heavy/Intense Manufacturing and Industrial (MA3) District is intended for the heaviest manufacturing and industrial uses, involving the use, handling, and storage of hazardous materials, or industrial uses which require a substantial amount of open-air storage area.

    MA3 Districts are not intended to be within one thousand (1,000) feet of any residential structures are not appropriate in close proximity to commercial business districts. MA3 Districts should be surrounded by MA1 and MA2 zoning districts.

    739.1 Permitted Uses.

    (E) Paper and allied product manufactures All business types defined in SIC 26
    (F) Rubber and rubber product manufactures All business types defined in SIC 30
    (G) Textile mills and textile manufactures All business types defined in SIC 22
    (H) Transportation and transportation equipment manufactures All business types defined in SIC 37
    (I) Churches, synagogues, temples, and other places of worship subject to the provisions of Article 12

    Asphalt, concrete and aggregate processing plants; subject to section 1202.
