Appendix 741. Outpatient Medical Services District (ME2).
Intent. The Outpatient Medical Services (ME2) District is intended to provide opportunities to locate halfway houses, residential treatment centers, outpatient clinics for the treatment of drug and alcohol addiction and other facilities of similar nature as might be required to serve a growing population. These uses can have substantial negative impacts on adjacent developments and are often considered noxious uses. Impacts may be mitigated through increased buffering requirements. To avoid possible negative impact upon adjacent development, these uses are not allowed to locate directly adjacent to existing residential development.
741.1. Permitted Uses.
(A)
Accessory uses that are subordinate and incidental to any permitted use below and on-site signage in accordance to the provisions of Article 10.
(B)
Churches, synagogues, temples, and other places of worship subject to the provisions of Article 12.
(C)
Community residential treatment centers.
(D)
Counseling facilities that distribute prescription medications on site.
(E)
Halfway houses.
(F)
Outpatient clinics for the treatment of drug and alcohol addiction.
(G)
Psychiatric hospitals.
(H)
Public and semi-private cemeteries subject to the provision of Article 12.
(I)
Licensed health care establishments that are engaged in body piercing, scarification, and tattooing of the human body.
(J)
Tattoo parlors.
(K)
Specialty outpatient facilities as defined in SIC 8093.
