  Appendix 742. Passenger and Product Transportation District (PA1).

  • Intent. The Passenger and Product Transportation (PA1) District is intended to provide opportunities to locate and develop businesses whose primary purpose is the movement of people or goods either within Horry County or between Horry County and other destinations. These facilities are generally located near population centers where accessibility to the transportation network is easily achieved; however; should not be located near established residential communities.

    742.1. Permitted Uses.

    (A) Accessory uses that are subordinate and incidental to any permitted use below and on-site signage in accordance to the provisions of Article 10
    (B) Reserved
    (C) Auto/boat/motorcycle/recreation vehicle/truck/construction and farm equipment service and repair subject to provisions of 1207
    (D) Bus depots
    (E) Fuel dealers Business types defined in SIC 5983, 5984, and 5989
    (F) Motor freight transportation and warehousing All business types defined in SIC 42
    (G) Parking lots/garages (free-standing)
    (H) Petroleum and petroleum products Business types defined in SIC 5171 and 5172
    (I) Railroad depots and terminals
    (J) Reserved.
    (K) Water transportation services; except casino boats All business types defined in SIC 44
    (L) Aircraft/automobile/boat/motorcycle/recreation vehicle/trailer sales (new and used)
    (M) Churches, synagogues, temples, and other places of worship subject to the provisions of Article 12
