  • Intent. The Convenience and Auto-related Services (RE3) District is intended to provide opportunities to locate and develop businesses that meet the convenience shopping and service needs of the community and region as well as the motoring public. This district is typically located adjacent to arterial or collector streets and is convenient to major residential areas. The types of uses permitted within this district are intended to serve consumer needs.

    (A) Accessory uses that are subordinate and incidental to any permitted use below and on-site signage in accordance to the provisions of Article 10
    (B) Any uses permitted in the (RE2) District
    (C) Automatic merchandising machine operators
    (D) Auto/boat/motorcycle/recreation vehicle/truck/construction and farm equipment service and repair subject to provisions of 1207
    (E) Billiard halls, bowling alleys, game rooms
    (F) Bus/taxicab services
    (G) Catalog and mail-order houses
    (H) Department, sporting goods, and boating stores (no outside sales displays)
    (I) Direct selling establishments
    (J) Home furniture, furnishings, and equip. stores All business types defined in SIC 57
    (K) Kennel services, pet motels, dog training centers
    (L) Repair shops for business machines, clocks/watches, computers, furniture refinishing/upholstering, household equipment, jewelry, radios/televisions, refrigeration/air-conditioning systems, shoes, etc. All business types defined in SIC 76
    (M) Motion pictures production and allied services
    (N) Pool service companies (no outside sales display)
    (O) Trade shops (No outdoor storage)
    (P) Mini-warehouse/storage facilities (No outdoor storage)
    (Q) Beer, wine, and spirit production, tastings, and retail sales of related merchandise. Production includes a facility used to process raw materials to finished product, and to age, bottle, store, and sell said products. No distribution is allowed.
